2.03.8 Permit Term Information
(1) Surface mining activities (open pit or strip mining) are not planned within the
permit area.
(2) The construction of the surface facilities will be delayed until the coal market
improves. Approximately 38.1 acres will be affected and disturbed during the
life of the operation. Since no underground mining will take place, affected
and disturbed acreage will be the same.
(3) The Applicant will conduct loadout operations in excess of 5 years. The
applicant requests a permit term of five years.
