Katryna Snowden of HGT accompanied <br />the inspection and represented the operator. The weather was clear and warming during the day. Snow patches <br />remain on the ground but most of the snow has melted at the site. The reclaimed areas were very muddy making <br />walking across the reclaimed area difficult. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />Records are stored at the Peabody Sage Creek Mine office. Records were verified and found to be in <br />compliance. The "Availability of Records" form is included within this report. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 ❑ Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The Rail loop pond was holding a pool of water approximatley 3 1/2 feet below the spillway. There was <br />no sign that the water had been higher or that the pond had discharged recently. <br />Dry creek was flowing. There was no sign of ice dams or the creek backing up with in the permit area. The field <br />to the south of the permit area had ice dams in the creek and the creek was flooding the field. Drainages and <br />creeks were flowing with melt water. <br />The truck loop pond was partially frozen but holding water approximately 2 1/2 feet below the riser pipe. There <br />was no sign that this pond had discharged recently. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />No problems were identified on the load out site, rail loop, or on the tie - across - haul -road. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 ❑ Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)11 Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and <br />(6) ❑ The tie across haul road remaind in good condition in spite of the soft spring conditions. There was no <br />rutting or ponding of water on the road. The road side ditches all were flowing appropriately.
