Mr. Jared Ebert
03/13/2014
Page 2
A requirement of each annual report has been the Divisions Annual Reclamation Report form. On this
form a running tally has been tabulated for cumulative disturbance and reclamation on the mine site. A
more thorough analysis of these numbers was conducted this year. Through the use of CAD based
mapping Trapper has developed our mine maps. The cumulative disturbance number was found to be
less than the actual present disturbance on our maps. A definite discrepancy between the values we
have carried for several years and the total disturbance depicted on our maps could not be found. It is
assumed that areas of stripping were not entirely accounted for in the past or areas we consider stripped
and disturbed now were not interpreted that way in the past. Therefore, we propose and submit a new
total disturbance number based on our maps, unlike the running tally we have used for several years this
is the actual on the ground disturbance. This method will be used form this point on to calculate the
total disturbance numbers. A similar discrepancy has been found in the cumulative reclamation total.
Again, an analysis of our maps, the reclaimed parcel totals and bond release totals has produced a new
cumulative total. The prior tally approach had clearly missed parcels or other areas considered
reclaimed. Please see the attached reclamation form for the most up to date numbers we can provide.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Forrest Luke or myself.
Sincerely,
Graham Roberts
Environmental Engineer
GCR
M: \ANNUALRPT\DRMSI3RPT\2013 COVER LETTER.DOC
Enclosure
c: Wendy Reynolds, BLM, w /enc
File 109.2.3.4, w/o enc
Shelf Binder w /enc
