<br />Prior to this revision the Bowie No. 2 Mine permit contained contain 9,197 acres of land, 5,365
<br />acres of private surface and 3,832 acres of Federal surface. Private minerals within the permit area
<br />encompass 1,957 acres with Federal minerals accounting for the balance of 7,240 acres.
<br />The new Bowie No. 2 Mine permit will contain 10,987.2 acres of land, 5,723.9 acres of private
<br />surface and 5,263.3 acres of Federal surface. Private minerals within the permit area encompass
<br />1,957 acres with Federal minerals accounting for the balance of 9,030.2 acres.
<br />The affected area proposed by this revision will be within 100 feet, measured horizontally, of the
<br />outside right -of -way line of Stevens Gulch Road in the following areas.

<br />A public hearing, for the purpose of determining whether the interests of the public and affected
<br />landowners will be protected may be requested by contacting the Division of Reclamation, Mining
<br />and Safety in writing within 30 days after the last publication of this notice. Any such hearing will be
<br />held in the locality of the mining operation.
