Monitoring wells MW -10 (Permit No. 240318) and MW -6 (Permit No. 240323)
were drilled within the mining areas of Pueblo East Pit Phases 1 and 2, respectively. The wells
were constructed into the alluvial sand and gravel aquifer and did not penetrate a confining layer.
During the course of mining operations, the wells were mined through completely, along with
the surrounding sand and gravel material. It is our intent that this letter and the attached
completed GWS -09 forms, signed by Transit Mix, may serve as sufficient documentation
demonstrating that these wells have been satisfactorily abandoned.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly by phone at 303 -806-
8952, or by email at pbrussc_r,bbawater.com.
Very truly yours,
BISHOP - BRODGDEN ASSOCIATES, INC.
Paul Bruss, E.I.
Water Resources Engineer
PJB /jeb
Enclosures
9107.07
