NECC believes that existing analysis as presented in Exhibit 20 with
additional run -off calculations as provided by TR -62 in Exhibit 19(19) for
two temporary culverts on ditch D -55 provide an sufficient information to
design D -55. The currently approved Table 20 D -55 lists D -55 as a riprapped
trapezoidal ditch with top a top width of 9.3 and depth of 1.6 feet. This
information has been deleted and Table 20 revised to reference the criteria
found in Exhibit 20, listing upper segments of D -55 as an un- riprapped V-
Shape ditch with a top -width of 12.3'by depth of 1.6' providing the same
cross - sectional area as the trapezoidal ditch.
Ditch D -55 has been reconstructed to meet or exceed these minimum
dimensions as shown on the enclosed as -built plan and profile views
accompanied by a certification statement by Charles McGlothlin, a registered
Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado. These drawings should be
added to Exhibit 20.
Also enclosed are a completed request for a revision to an existing mining
permit, a proposed public notice and Table 20 Ditch Data Page 2.05 -11 a.
The NOV has an abated deadline of March 3, 2014. NECC requests a 60 day
extension to allow for required public notice provisions and Division review
of the enclosed Technical Revision.
Three copies of each permit revision/change are enclosed. Please contact me
if there is additional information or other documentation is required.
Regards,
Louis Head
Financial Manager
