March 10, 2014 C- 1984 - 065 /Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine SLB <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 11 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(31) 11 Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)11 Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) 11 Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Roads and road ditches were in very good condition, with no evidence of excessive erosion or siltation. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 ❑ Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Grasses were emerging, and the sage brush was starting to turn green; vegetation looked good. No <br />noxious weeds were observed. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />The mine identification, topsoil stockpile identification, and disturbance boundary markers were visible <br />and in good condition. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 ❑ Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />The topsoil stockpile was stable and vegetated, with the exception of the east end of the pile. It did not <br />appear that the area recently disturbed had been reseeded; no vegetation was emerging on the disturbed area. The <br />disturbed area should be seeded immediately, if it has not yet been, in order to take advantage of spring <br />precipitation. <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS /COMPLIANCE <br />No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending. <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
