PERMIT #: M- 2014 -001
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: PSH
INSPECTION DATE: February 21, 2014
mining the mine walls will be nearly vertical to 1/2H:1V slope. As the mining face progresses, pit sidewall will
develop behind the active mining face. Pit sidewalls may extend 500 feet behind the active mining face before
reclamation will begin.
The side slopes of the mine pit will be backfilled and graded to a minimum 2H:1V slope and seeded as mining
progress. During the inspection, the Division discussed the requirement to justify the final slope of 2H:1V
slope. The proposed post mining land use of rangeland indicates a final slope of 3H:1V would be more
appropriate.
The Applicant stated they are in the process of obtaining structure and easement agreements from the
surrounding landowners and structure owners.
Pre - operational photographs taken during the inspection are attached.
Inspection Contact Address
Larry Johnson
Connell Resources, Inc.
7785 Highland Meadows Parkway
Fort Collins, CO 80528
Cc: Tom Kaldenbach, DRMS
Bill Schenderlein, Blue Earth Solutions, LLC
Page 3 of 6
