During 2013 water quality samples were successfully collected from the above sample
locations with the exception of the following:
First Quarter:
- ARwell, GWM -1, and GWM -2 — Frozen
- ARK -MW -001 D — Artesian well, plugged until pumping equipment installed in
third quarter
- EVS -1, EVS -2, EVS -3, Arkansas #1, Arkansas #2, CC -SW1, EI -SW1, Al, and BI
— Inaccessible
Second Quarter:
- EPR Outlet — Insufficient Flow
- ARK-MW-001D —Equipment failure during plug removal, well remained plugged
until third quarter
Fourth Quarter:
- EVS -2 — Inaccessible
ARK -MW -001 D is a flowing artesian well and, after being sampled in the fourth quarter of
2012, was temporarily sealed to avoid freezing during the winter and possible damaging
the well. Once the plug was successfully removed from the well a dedicated pump and
frost -free hydrant were installed to allow for quarterly sampling. Tabulated data for all
monitoring sites follows this discussion.
Discussion of Results: NPL and CBSG Criteria for POC Wells
The results for the indicator parameters of the POC Wells were tabulated and compared to
the NPL (or CBSG Criteria) for each parameter. Utilizing the procedure in Section 5.1 of
the WQMP, and displayed in the POC Well Numeric Protection Level Calculation Data
tables following this report, Climax is proposing NPLs based on the CBSG Criteria for POC
