February 27, 2014 C- 1981 - 018 /Deserado Mine ZTT
• Water Storage Tank
• Explosives Storage
• Haul Road Blisters
• Radio Tower
• Rock Dust Tanks
• B -Vent Shafts
No signs of erosion were observed in any of the SAES. As noted in the Backfill and Grading section of this report,
the recently constructed pads for the rock dust tank and borehole N 11 -58 is in need of sediment control structures.
Culverts and ditches within the facility area were inspected. Sediment buildup has been noted along the ditch
between the mine office access road and the haul road. Most notably along the sections of ditch with a lesser
grade. It appears some of the drop culverts need to be cleared of debris and sediment. The ditch that runs along the
face of the D -Portal face appears to have storage supplies pushed within the ditch. These items need to be
removed. The ditch running behind the rotary breaker is still functioning proper but due to sediment buildup, it
will need future maintenance and reestablishment. General maintenance on culverts is needed due to partial
sediment buildup within the inlet and outlets. Most notably, the culvert south of the silos, below the truck loadout
and the 9' culvert south of the truck shop.
Storage material in ditch.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 5
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3
Storage material in ditch.
