ameO <br />3.0 GEOSYNTHETICS INSTALLATION <br />Geosynthetics installed in the 2011 Phase 5 VLF OSA 2nd Portion consisted of geotextile <br />and geomembrane. Twelve- ounce, non -woven geotextile manufactured by TenCate of <br />Pendergrass, Georgia, was used to construct the Leak Detection Trenches of the 2011 <br />Phase 5 VLF OSA 2nd Portion. The 2011 Phase 5 VLF liner system included 80 -mil <br />single -sided textured LLDPE geomembrane manufactured by Poly -Flex of Grand Prairie, <br />Texas. <br />3.1 2011 Phase 5 VLF OSA 2nd Portion Liner System <br />Geomembrane installation activities for the 2011 Phase 5 VLF OSA 2nd Portion liner system <br />included deployment, seaming, and non - destructive and destructive testing of 80 -mil <br />single -sided textured LLDPE geomembrane (textured side down) to project specifications. <br />Lone Star deployed panels P121 through P438, P568 through P635, and P686 through <br />P701 as part of the primary liner system in the certified area (approximately 1,390,253 <br />square feet), as shown in Figure 2. <br />Geomembrane was placed on compacted and approved SLF as part of the 2011 Phase 5 <br />VLF OSA 2nd Portion. Record Drawing No. 4 of 5 in Appendix A presents the 2011 Phase 5 <br />VLF OSA 2nd Portion geomembrane panel layout for the primary geomembrane layer. Ames <br />anchored geomembrane at the limits of the Phase 5 VLF and temporarily along the 9,910 <br />and 10,060 ft elevation benches in an anchor trench a minimum of 3 feet deep by 1 foot <br />wide. The 80 -mil LLDPE geomembrane tie -in panels overlapped the Phase 5 PSSA <br />geomembrane panels a minimum of 4 feet and were extrusion welded, as shown in IFC <br />Drawing A335. <br />3.2 Leak Detection Trench <br />Ames installed 12 -ounce non -woven geotextile and 40 -mil smooth LLDPE geomembrane in <br />the LDT beneath the 2011 Phase 5 VLF OSA 2nd Portion to project specifications.
