Cresson Project Mining Development Plan ( "MDP "), within the Cripple Creek Mining
Overlay District ( "CCMOD "); referred to as the Cresson Project Mine Life Extension 2
("MLE2")
Dear Ms. Morgan:
Enclosed herein is CC &V's application for an amendment to the approved Cresson Project MDP
for the proposed MLE2 project within the CCMOD. The application comprises eight volumes
and contains the information required by the CCMOD regulations in Appendix CC -10 including
a copy of the seven volume application to the Office of Mined Land Reclamation ( "OMLR ")
within the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety.
The proposed activities under MLE2 include extending the mine life of the project for
approximately nine years (2016 -2025) and an associated addition of a Valley Leach Facility
( "VLF ") in Squaw Gulch ( "SGVLF "), addition of an Adsorption, Desorption and Recovery
facility in Squaw Gulch ( "SGADR "), and addition of High Grade Mill facilities in Squaw Gulch
to accommodate processing higher grade ore. Also enclosed is the application fee in the amount
of $5,000 provided as check number 00092581.
The Proposed Project
As a result of the increases in gold ore reserves realized through ongoing exploration, CC &V is
proposing to extend mining slightly to the east and west of the Main Cresson Mine including a
portion of the South Cresson Mine; extend mining to the north and northeast in the Wildhorse
Extension ( "WHEX ") portion of the East Cresson Mine; extend mining in the North Cresson
Mine to the north in the Globe Hill portion; and extend mining in the North Cresson Mine to the
