ame&
B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation
No work performed during the week.
C) Lateral/Slot Remediation
No work performed during the week.
IV) Storm Water Management Structures
A) Control Structures
No work performed during the week.
B) Best Management Practices
Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the Phase 5 VLF Project. Storm water
controls were maintained throughout the week. Precipitation not substantial throughout the week.
V) VLF Primary Underdrain
No work performed during the week.
VI) Miscellaneous
Underdrain filter material stockpiled at the 5 -way intersection was hauled to various stockpile areas
around the construction site. This was performed using CAT 777 haul trucks loaded by a John Deere
850 excavator. Relocating the material was performed to allow the Mine Operations to build a road in
the area.
CQA ACTIVITIES:
SUMMARY:
The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction
activities of the contractor.
AMEC observed and documented ambient and fill temperatures, as well as the placement of structural fill
within the Phase 5 VLF fill area.
AMEC observed and documented ambient and fill temperatures, as well as the structural fill placement
(processed ore) within the Phase IV VLF constantly. Nuclear density testing was performed during
placement.
AMEC observed construction of the ADR/Crushing waterlines.
AMEC observed confirmation drilling at Underground Workings #3006, #3007, and #3009 constantly.
Testing Summary
Laboratory testing continues (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, and Moisture - Density
Compaction testing) for sampled materials.
VLF Weekly Report WE 12.19.09.D.doc
