The area has received little snow since December, so <br />most of the ground within the permit area was bare and dry. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.053; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br />4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream <br />Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />• The King I East and West sediment ponds held some water, but levels were too low for discharge to <br />be occurring. <br />• The King II sediment pond was completely dry. <br />PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br />• Coal mine waste produced during the winter has been end - dumped for temporary storage on the yard <br />floor at King I. <br />• The permitted Refuse Pile at King I was clear of snow, and those portions of the road that were <br />visible appeared to be passable. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />• At King II, construction of the new bath house and office building appears to be complete. The <br />temporary trailers (formerly located south of the truck scales) have all been removed from the site. <br />• A significant amount of coal was stockpiled at both Stack Tubes. <br />• One truck was being loaded at the scales at the time of the inspection, and there were no trucks lined <br />up waiting to be loaded. <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS /COMPLIANCE <br />No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 Page 2 of 6 <br />
