Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company <br />Mill Site Earthworks Project <br />Final Report <br />Quality Assurance Monitoring & Test Results <br />January 31, 2014 <br />3.0 GEOSYNTHETICS INSTALLATION <br />ameO <br />Geosynthetics installed consisted of geotextile, geogrid, and geomembrane. Non- <br />woven geotextile (12 oz. /yd.2) manufactured by TenCate Geosynthetics was used to <br />construct the secondary underdrain for the Mill Site Earthworks. Geogrid, <br />manufactured by Tensar International Corporation, was used in the remediation of <br />select underground workings as described in Section 2.1. The Mill Site Earthworks <br />liner system included 80 -mil single -sided and double -sided textured LLDPE <br />geomembrane manufactured by Poly -Flex, Inc. and GSE Environmental. <br />3.1 Secondary Underdrain <br />Geosynthetics installation for the Secondary Underdrain was performed by Ames and <br />included deployment of 12 oz. /yd.2 non -woven geotextile. Ames installed <br />approximately 21,216 square feet of geotextile to construct the Underdrains. <br />Underdrain construction is discussed further in Section 2.2. <br />3.2 Underground Workings Geogrid <br />A summary of underground working remediation for the Mill Site Earthworks is <br />presented in Appendix M.1. Appendix M.2 presents as -Built Drawings of the <br />underground workings remediated with geogrid or concrete. Additional remediation <br />details are presented in Section 4.2.1. <br />3.3 Mill Site Earthworks Liner System <br />Geomembrane installation activities for the Mill Site Earthworks liner system included <br />panel deployment, seaming, non - destructive testing, and destructive testing of 80 -mil <br />single -sided and double -sided textured LLDPE geomembrane per Project <br />Specifications. Lone Star deployed panels P4 -P1 through P4 -P6 (Phase IVc berm <br />modification outside of the Project footprint) and P1 through P498 as part of the <br />geomembrane liner system (approximately 1,517,215 square feet), as shown in Figure <br />2. <br />Geomembrane was placed only on compacted and approved SLF Record Drawing No. <br />4 of 4 in Appendix A presents the geomembrane panel layout for the geomembrane <br />layer. Ames anchored geomembrane with an anchor trench a minimum of 3 feet deep <br />by 2 foot wide. <br />M <br />
