Box 4827 <br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. (HGTI), 701 N. Memorial <br />Drive, St. Louis MO, 63101, has filed with the Col- <br />orado Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) a <br />permit renewal (RN) application for it's Hayden Gulch <br />Loadout ( Loadout), Permit No. C -92 -081 under Provi- <br />sions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclama- <br />tion Act of 1979 (Act). The purpose of the renewal <br />application is to extend the existing valid permit to <br />conduct surface coal mining and reclamation activi- <br />ties for another 5 years. No actual mining will be con- <br />ducted under this permit as this Is a coal stockpile <br />and loadout facility and railroad spur. Site activities <br />will consist of coal stockpiling and shipment, routine <br />monitoring and minor maintenance work to assure <br />regulatory compliance. This RN application will not <br />result In any changes to either the disturbed or affect- <br />ed areas. <br />The Loadout is located approximately 2 miles south- <br />east of Hayden, Colorado, and within 100 feet of <br />Routt County Road 37. The USGS 7.5- minute quad- <br />rangle map entitled Mount Harris contains the permit <br />area described below. <br />The general legal description of the permit area is <br />described as: <br />T6N,R88W (all west of the 6th Principle Meridian) <br />Section 10, Portions of E1/2 <br />Section 14, Portions of W1/2 <br />Section 15, Portions of E1/2E1/2 <br />Section 22, Portions of NE1 /4 <br />Section 23, Portions of N1/2N1/2NW1/4 <br />Containing 175.3 acres, all In Routt County. <br />A copy of the permit renewal application Is available <br />for inspection at the Hayden Public Library, 225 East <br />Jefferson Avenue, Hayden, Colorado 81639. <br />Any person having an Interest which Is or may be <br />adversely affected by a decision of the Division <br />regarding the proposed surface coal mining opera- <br />tion, or the officer or head of any Federal, State, or <br />local government agency or authority shall have the <br />right to submit written objections or comments to the <br />Division within 30 days after the publication of this <br />notice. Written objections or comments may be sub- <br />mitted to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geol- <br />ogy, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Col- <br />orado 80203.
