I Seeding and mulching will take place as soon as possible, and certainly before there is any threat of the
newly graded marble fines from developing a crust which would resist vegetation from sprouting.
Uncertainties with contractor time frames and weather conditions may prevent very specific time frame
commitments on this task. The Highland Grass areas shown on Map F -1 will be hydroseeded and
mulched with wood fiber at the rate of 2500 lbs per acre. A tackifier and biosol fertilizer will also be
included at normal rates. The area of seeding and mulching is approximately 5.5 acres.
Species
Pounds per Acre
Streambank Wheatgrass
4 lbs
Western Wheatgrass
4 lbs
Bluebunch Wheatgrass
4 lbs
Bottlebrush Squirreltail
4 lbs
Dryland Alfalfa
1 lb
4 -wing Saltbush
3 lbs
Rubber Rabbitbrush
1 lb
Indian Ricegrass
2 lbs
Sweet Clover
2 lbs
Total
25 lbs
Note: If hydroseeding and mulching cannot be performed within the acceptable window after regrading,
broadcast seeding and mulching will be done with certified weed free grass hay mulch at the rate of
2500 lbs per acre.
