Every other cable along the exterior edge of the <br />net shall be looped over and camped to itself using brass, or stainleas steel oval sleeve clamps, or <br />galvaaizod/pWad wire rope clips to form a loop for attachment to an anchor. if wire rope clips are used, <br />the nuts shall be tactic welded after tigbiming. <br />16.5.2 LutaRation <br />The wire rope netting shall be attached to anchor bars or rack bolts installed according to the <br />specifications contained in orated Adit Closure (Section 11) and Standard Drawing No. 6, Sheet 1. The <br />ends of the anchors shall have continuous rings welded on, or be formed to provide a continuous solid eye <br />for cable attachment. A mu maim three fed (3� of setback will be provided from the edge of the <br />opening. <br />On sites where the surface material is incompetent, caissons shall be used for arch" points. Caissons <br />will be excavated a mininnmr three fed (31 deep and will have a minimum six -inch diameter column. <br />Caissons will be paced an three foot centers, yet will conform to irregular dimensions. A three -foot (3) <br />long, three-quarter inch (3/4') diameter eye bolt will be centered in the caisson, leaving the top three <br />inches (3') exposed. The eyelet shall be welded closed to prevent cable detachment. Wedding of eyes <br />shall be done prior to shingmg cable, as welding near cables can seriously reduce cable strengths. <br />16.53 Drainage Berms <br />Drainage berms shall be constructed of rmcompacted waste rock or excavated material to direct runoff <br />away from the opening. All areas including access routes and work areas that are disturbed by <br />CONTRACTOR shall be revegetated according to the Revegetation specifications. <br />16.5A Monument <br />A brass cap shall be anchored into competent rock within the perimeter of the closure. A hole shall be <br />drilled into competent rock, then a brass tap (supplied by OWNER) shall be grouted using a non - shriek <br />grout such as Moly Paabood, QUIKRETE, or Pour Rock. <br />165 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />No measurement for payment shall be made for these bid items. Payment shall be for the lump-sum bid <br />price.
