prescribed reclamation seed mix will be applied with fertilizer. This seed mix has been very successful at <br />a limestone quarry reclamation project with little topsoil, not far from this location. Finally, a permanent <br />polymer matting will be fastened to the surface, which will not only itself prevent erosion, but it will <br />also allow the vegetation to come up through the mat, further anchoring and stabilizing the slope. The <br />specifications on the mat are shown on the following 4 pages. <br />In addition, a small sump, called the Facilities Sump, located immediately north of the North Portal, has <br />been installed as an additional sediment trap leading to Sump 5. It is part of the drainage area to Sump 5 <br />and therefore, does not require a separate calculation for size. However, it will take some burden off <br />Sump 5 and the facilities Sump will be cleaned out of sediment, as needed. <br />It is proposed that this effort be done on the entire slope as shown on Map C -2, however, the lower <br />portion of the slope is on the McIntyre property and access was not allowed there for the work done in <br />2010. <br />Yule Quarry January 2014 39 <br />
