SITE DESCRIPTION (cont)
PERMANENT MAN -MADE STRUCTURES
Exhibit B
The man -made structures within 200 feet of the affected
lands are all owned by Colorado Red Rose, Inc. They consist of a
house, a shop /garage, road and 2 powerlines. There are no wells,
water storage impoundments, communications towers or cemeteries
within 200 feet of the affected lands.
WATER RESOURCES
This is a dry mining operation. There are no water struc-
tures on the site. The closes water is an unnamed creek which is
approximately 1190 feet wast of and 190 feet lower than the mine.
Review or water well records for the vicinity of the mine indi-
cate that the water table is 200+ feet below the ground surface.
Ground water will not be encountered on this site because
its floor elevation will be no lower then the adjoining road or
approximately 3 to 50 feet lower than the existing ground eleva-
tion. We will not affect the hydrologic balance of surface or
subsurface water in the area. The water used at this site is
purchased and hauled from Estes Park for use on the permit area.
MINING PLAN EXHIBIT C
This mine is one of the Emergency 111 Special Permits issued
by the Division in October, 2013 as allowed by the Emergency
actions taken by the Governor. It is to supply rock for recon-
struction of infrastructure destroyed or ruined by the September,
2013 floods on the Big Thompson and St. Vrain Rivers. The
information provided here is to address the exhibits not supplied
when the original application was filed. This does not have the
original application, bond forms, or performance warranty because
those items are in the Divisions file. This packet includes
copies of those forms, the information submitted at that time;
including the Source of Legal Right to Enter, the blasting
report, structures list, the Divisions adequacy letters and our
responses. Mining has been a continuous activity on the Colorado
Rose Red, Inc property since the 1930's when the family patriarch
started quarrying dimension stone from the site.
25
