Natural Soda, Inc. <br />Directional Well Summary Report <br />Recovery Well 13H -R <br />Prepared for <br />Natural Soda, Inc. <br />by <br />Daub & Associates, Inc. <br />Grand Junction, CO <br />Introduction <br />The Natural Soda, Inc. (NSI) 13H -R well is a directionally - drilled horizontal solution mining <br />recovery well located near the depositional center of the Piceance Creek Basin in <br />northwestern Colorado. The surface hole is located on NSI sodium lease property in the <br />SW quarter of the SW quarter of Section 25, Township 1 South, Range 98 West, 6th P.M., in <br />Rio Blanco County, Colorado. The well is located at 39.929583 degrees North latitude <br />(Lat), — 108.348684 degrees West longitude (Long), referenced to NAD 27. The as -built <br />surveyed ground elevation was 6,714.7 feet above mean sea level; the Kelly Bushing (KB) <br />elevation was 6,725.7 feet, a difference of 11 feet. Depths mentioned in the text of this <br />document are reported relative to KB. All depths referenced below the kick -off point <br />(KOP) are measured depth (MD) values, referenced to KB. This well was drilled to provide <br />a solution mining recovery well for the solution mining and recovery of nahcolite (sodium <br />bicarbonate) from the Upper Boies Bed (UBB). The UBB, in this area, is a 22 -foot thick bed <br />of almost pure white crystalline nahcolite (sodium bicarbonate) found in the L -5 <br />stratigraphic zone of the Parachute Creek Member of the Green River Formation. <br />The drilling contractor was Capstar Drilling Inc. ( Capstar), headquartered in Casper, <br />Wyoming. Capstar used two crews per day working twelve -hour shifts from 06:00 hours to <br />18:00 hours, and 18:00 hours to 06:00 hours, respectively. A tool pusher was onsite and <br />available 24 hours per day. The Capstar Rig #314 was used for all drilling operations on <br />this well. <br />Daub & Associates, Inc.
