Pineda <br />Clifton, CO 81520 <br />Director <br />Re: Roadside Portals Mine (Permit No. C- 1981 -041) <br />Objection Letter to Bond Release Application SL -8 <br />Dear Mr. Fontanari: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) is in the process of <br />evaluating the information contained in your objection letter dated October 7, 2013 to the <br />Snowcap Coal Company (SCC) bond release application SL -8 for the Roadside Portals Mine. <br />We are also in review of SCC's formal written response to your request for denial of the bond <br />release application. <br />At this time we would like to inquire whether or not you have data or any other additional <br />information regarding the concerns you have stated in your objection letter that you would like to <br />provide to the Division while we are conducting our review and evaluation of the SL -8 surety <br />release application. Our proposed decision date for the SL -8 bond release application is <br />February 28, 2014.
