40586 Co. Rd. 21
Haxtun, CO 80731
December 13, 2013
Betty Green
Logan County Road and Bridge
12603 Co. Rd. 33.
Sterling, CO 80751
Dear Betty,
I recently submitted an application on behalf of Dumb and Dumber Trucking, LLC to
expand an existing Mining Permit with the State of Colorado to extract construction
materials from a 65.3 -acre tract of land located in the SE 1/4 of Section 8, T6N, R51 W of
the 6th P.M., Logan County, Colorado. We are required by law to send a notice of the
application to the adjoining landowners and the surface owners involved. The Division
has also asked that your department be notified of the application. Enclosed is a copy of
the public notice that was published in the South Platte Sentinel. Since you are receiving
the notification after the legal notice was published, your comments will now have to be
filed within 20 days of the receipt of this notification. Should you have questions on the
application, please contact Brian Barton (970 -520 -3392) or you can contact me at 774-
6264 (home) or 854 -3778 (office). A sketch of the proposed pit area is attached for your
reference.
Since the Division just gave me the requirement to notify you, your comments are the last
to be received before the application is finished. If Logan County Road and Bridge has
no issues, it would be helpful if you could direct a letter to the Division:
Peter Hays
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
The letter would state that you have received notification and have no issues. I would
appreciate anything you can do.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
C` f"
Randy er
Consultant
Enclosure: Notice & Sketch
