Environmental Protection Facility Certification
Henderson Mine — Permit No. M- 1977 -342
Technical Revision 20
TDL Drop Tower 17 Removal and Pipe Replacement Project
The Removal of Drop Tower 17 on the Henderson Tailing Delivery Line (TDL) and the
replacement of approximately 1,000 feet of TDL concrete pipe with HDPE pipe was
approved as Technical Revision No. 20 to Mine Permit No. M- 1977 -342 on September 4,
2013. This project is located at Climax Molybdenum Company's Henderson Mill in Grand
County. The project involved the demolition of the drop tower and the removal of
approximately 1,000 feet of concrete TDL pipe, and the installation of approximately 1,000
feet of 42 -inch diameter HDPE pipe.
The Henderson Mill and contractors have substantially completed the construction of the
project and it has been tested and determined to be functional. Record Drawings of the
project are attached. The exception to this is that it was determined that the vent is not
currently required, but will be installed later if future tailing flow conditions indicate that it is
necessary.
Pursuant to Rule 7.3.2, the Professional Engineer that has signed and sealed below certifies
that the project was completed in general conformance with the approved design as
submitted to the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety. This statement is based in
part on information that has been provided by others.
unuy// /z
\\\N PO REG1 11i1
29123 •
° • 4":
21 's4Ava`a
Steven M.
