PERMIT #: M -1988 -048
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: December 19, 2013
OBSERVATIONS
This was an acreage reduction inspection for the 112c Carr Gravel Resource site. The inspection was conducted
by Eric Scott of DRMS. DRMS met with Lynn Mayer - Shults of L.G. Everist at approximately 1000. The site
entrance is located on the south side of Weld County 126 RD approximately 500 feet east of the Union Pacific
railroad tracks on the east side of the Town of Carr. The required postings were present at the site entrance.
This site is currently an active 112c sand and gravel operation. The acreage reduction request was submitted to
DRMS on December 11, 2013 and notices were sent out to all parties by DRMS on December 13, 2013. The
proposed release is for the "Van Loo" area (303 acres) the "Thomas" area (90 acres) and the "trans- load" area
(225 acres) for a total of 618 acres to be released from the northern area of the permit.
The Van Loo and Thomas areas are well vegetated with grasses and meet release requirements at this time (see
attached photos). The trans -load area is a gravel semi - industrial area that meets the approved post- mining land
use and configuration established in AM02.
DRMS believes that the areas proposed for release meet the approved reclamation requirements at this time.
Therefore, DRMS will approve the release of the 618 acres submitted as soon as the public comment period has
passed if no objections are received.
No other issues or problems were noted during the inspection. This concluded the inspection and DRMS left
the site at approximately 1130.
Inspection Contact Address
Lynn Mayer Shults
L. G.
