Governor <br />Mike King <br />Executive Director <br />Loretta Pineda <br />Director <br />RE: Badger a Group of Mines; DRMS File No. P- 2013 -019; Notice of Intent to Conduct <br />Prospecting Operations; Incomplete Application <br />Dear Ms. Lidroth - Gendron, <br />On December 18, 2013, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received a <br />Notice of Intent (NOI) to Conduct Prospecting Operations for Hard Rock Mines Application <br />from K & B Mining Company, File No. P- 2013 -019. Preliminary review of the information <br />received determined that the following items must be received before the Division can consider <br />your application as being submitted and technical review can begin: <br />1. The Applicant did not provide proof that the appropriate federal land management agency <br />received notice of the proposed activities as required by Rule 5.1.3(a). Please submit proof of <br />notice to the appropriate federal land management agency. Proof of notice(s) may be in the <br />form of a return receipt from a certified mailing or a date stamped copy of the notice <br />acknowledging receipt. <br />2. The Applicant did not submit the NOI in electronic form as required by Rule 5.1.2(1). Please <br />provide an electronic copy of the NOI application. <br />3. The Applicant has indicated that the prospecting site is located on both Bureau of Land <br />Management (BLM) and US Forest Service (USFS) property. Please confirm that the <br />prospecting site is on BLM and USFS land and include the contact information for the <br />appropriate BLM office. <br />Please be advised that if these items have not been addressed within sixty (60) days of the date of <br />this letter (February 21, 2014), the Division may terminate the NOI Application in accordance <br />with Rule 5.13(c). The Division's notification process, review period of the NOI and associated <br />Financial Warranty, and the public comment period will not commence until this information is <br />submitted by the applicant. <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines <br />
