Mr. Michael Cunningham
CDRMS
December 19, 2013
The SPLP will be the basis for determining acceptance /rejection of the Batch. SPLP
tests will be conducted at a pH range of 6.5 — 9 as mandated by the Division. XRF
analysis will be used to determine the Representative Sample baseline of the Batch, as
tested in the laboratory.
Tailings Management
An XRF analysis on process tailings will be performed weekly during the processing of
the Batch and compared with the XRF baseline reported in the laboratory. This test will
serve as a measure to assure that the RoM being processed is within the bounds of the
Representative Sample tested in the laboratory.
If XRF results are within the Baseline range, then Acceptance Criteria are being met.
If the XRF result on any analyte is 50% higher than the Baseline XRF a new SPLP test
will be performed to assure that tailings are within the prescribed Acceptance Criteria.
Water Management
RoM will be conditioned at the ball mill and conditioning tank for pH prior to flotation and
tailings thickener solution will be tested daily to assure pH Acceptance Criteria are met.
Lime will be added to the thickener should pH values drop below 6.5.
Please contact myself or Holly Michael for additional information or clarification to this submittal.
We may be reached by phone at 303 - 947 -3499, nmichael @unionmilling.com for myself or 303-
947 -7837, hmichael @unionmilling.com for Holly.
Since
Nick Michael
Member
Union Milling Company, LLC
