Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Bowie No. 1 Mine conducted by Susan Burgmaier of CDRMS. No <br /> representative of Bowie Resources, LLC was present during the inspection. Weather conditions were sunny and <br /> cold(30 degrees);there was approximately V of snow on the ground at the East Mine and ROM areas, and about <br /> 6-8"at the loadout facility. The East Mine,West Mine, and ROM areas were all inaccessible by vehicle, due to <br /> snow cover. The East Mine and ROM areas were viewed from Stevens Gulch Road, and the loadout area was <br /> traversed by vehicle and on foot. <br /> The East Mine, ROM, and West Mine areas have all been reclaimed and Phase I bond released. There was no <br /> activity observed at any of those locations. The loadout is currently being utilized as a staging area for drilling <br /> operations associated with the Bowie No. 2 Mine. Removal of the loadout railroad spur was underway at the time <br /> of the inspection. Track had been removed from the shop to the sewage lagoon on the eastern end of the loadout. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.1411 Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour <br /> 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27;Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials <br /> 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> Backfilled and regraded slopes at the East Mine and ROM area appeared to be stable with no indication of <br /> any slumping. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05❑ Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The ROM area and east loadout ponds appeared to be dry; both were snow covered. The operator <br /> indicated that repairs had been made to the east loadout pond bin walls,but it was not visible with the snow cover. <br /> The berm on the outslope of the railroad spur SAE was in place at the time of the inspection.
