COMMENTS
This was a complete inspection of the Keenesburg Mine; operated by Coors Energy Company; DRMS File No. C-
1981-028. I, Jared Ebert of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety conducted the inspection.
Christine Belka and Spencer Shumate with the Office of Surface Mining and Mr. Danny Kipp and Ben Moline
with Coors Energy accompanied me during the inspection. The weather was clear and very cold during the
inspection. According to Mr. Kipp, it was -2 degrees Ferinheight when the inspection began.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1):
The mine records were checked; see the end of the report for details. The insurance certificate filed on site had
expired. However,Mr. Moline was able to send me an e-mail copy of the renewed insurance form.
BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14

The Operator continues to backfill the remainder of B -Pit with fly ash. Due to a problem at the Coors power
plant, fly ash was not delivered to the site the day before the inspection and the morning prior to the inspection.
However, it appears the problem was rectified and ash delivery recommenced the afternoon of the inspection date.
The long term spoil pile was graded and stable.
