(BME) revised submittal of Minor Revision 157 for the Deserado Mine.
The updated revision was received on November 13, 2013. MR -157 proposes modifications to
the pad area for SH -2 to move the topsoil pile away from the fuel facilities to all revegetation of
the pile. Discussions concerning weed control measures were also updated to address current
thoughts on the control of cheatgrass by herbicides and with the use of Forage kochia. The
Division has the following comment:
Rule 3.02.2 — Determination of Bond Amount
1. The Division has performed a cost estimate for the reseeding of the additional 0.2 acres
of disturbance created from moving the topsoil pile back 25 feet. The total value of this
estimate is $195.84 (see attached cost estimate). The Division's cost estimate is
consistent with previous cost approved by both the Division and BME. The Division
respectfully requests a response from BME with any questions regarding the cost
estimate or an acceptance of the Division's estimate.
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
