Byzantine Quarry LLC
1087 East Holiday Drive
Pueblo West, CO 81007
November 25, 2013
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman St. Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: M- 2007 -014 Byzantine Quarry
Subject: Geotechnical Monitoring per Original 112c permit
There were no production blasts conducted on the subject property during calendar year 2013, hence
no blast monitoring results have been attached to this report.
All production material was processed from raw materials on site from the previous operator, and
therefore, there was limited development of the highwall in 2013. We anticipate some production
blasting in the spring of 2014, at which time we will monitor any production blasts, as well as have a
geotechnical expert evaluate the site to comply with the requirements of the original 112c permit
stipulations as presented in a "112c Decision Letter" dated June 19, 2007. The results of said inspections
will be incorporated into our 2014 Annual report.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can provide any further information.
cSincerely,
Daniel Tezak
