Interoffice Memorandum
Refuse Pile — RPE and RPEE
Percent slope was measured for both the final configuration of RPE and the ongoing refuse placement of RPEE. Percent
slope for RPE matches that which is permitted. When measuring the percent slope of RPEE it was found to be roughly
9% steeper than what is permitted. It is unknown to me whether this section of the refuse has met final configuration or
not.
Conclusion
From my review of the RPE, RPEE and associated structures, there is no significant difference between our field
measurements to that of the approved dimensions of each structure except for the percent slope of the refuse for RPEE.
It would be good to know if this section of the refuse pile has met final configuration or if construction is still ongoing. I
would also recommend additional and more accurate measurements be taken of the refuse pile to ensure our current
field measurements are correct. The use of a handheld rangefinder can lead to the discrepancy between our
measurements and what is permitted.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Zach Trujillo
