Inc. <br />Reporting Period: 10.20.13 thru 10.26.13 <br />Ambient Temperature Ranges for reporting period: Weather conditions for reporting period_ <br />Low: 21 *F — 35 °F Cloud Cover: Clear to partly cloudy <br />High: 43 °F — 57 °F Precipitation: None <br />Wind: Calm to gusts at times <br />Ames: Continuing construction tasks for HWY 67 and VLF. <br />Planning: Continuing construction activities and scheduling for VLF and HWY 67. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />1) Earthworks <br />A) VLF (Phase 1) <br />Topsoil / Overburden Stripping: No topsoil / overburden stripping activities occurred during this reporting period <br />within the VLF limits. <br />Production drilling: Occurred during this reporting period within the planned VLF limits. <br />Five production blasts' occurred during this reporting period within planned VLF limits. <br />Structural Fill: The contractor continued fill operations and compaction by method specification for the ADR haul <br />road, the Dump 4 buttress fill, and the PSSA Toe Berm. <br />Structural fill materials were placed and compacted for the ADR haul road. A Cat D9T was used to spread the loose <br />lifts and compaction was achieved utilizing a Cat CS56 smooth drum roller by method specification and any <br />oversized material was broken with a Cat excavator hammer -hoe. <br />Structural fill materials were placed and compacted at the PSSA toe berm. A Cat D8T was used to spread the loose <br />lifts and compaction was achieved utilizing a Cat CS56 smooth drum roller by method specification. <br />Structural fill materials were placed and compacted at the buttress fill below Dump 4.
