IcKfil ead
ERMulive oirMtur
Michael 8. Long
Division Meow
This letter is written in response to your correspondence of July 27, 1995. Given the circumstances
specific to this site, we will grant a waiver of the suggested roof, interburden and floor geochemical
analysis parameters of cadmium and copper. However, we will appreciate submittal of any informa-
tion relative to these specific parameters if such information exists in related geochemistry data for
• nearby sites. Additionally, acid base accounting will not be required for the roof, interburden and
floor analyses as long as the sulfur forms (pyritic, sulfate, organic, total) are specifically quantified.
Finally, if you decide to drill an additional hole as mentioned today on the telephone, all of the
above-discussed parameters should be analyzed.
I will wait for your additional information relative to your request regarding the D-Seam coal
geochemistry. Please call with any questions.
Sincerely,/
D vid A. Berry
enSor Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Tony Waldron, DMG
5TATE OF COLORADO
1111WISTOVERMAa
