Typical Channel Profiles Measured in Upper Diversion Structure (UDS)
Based on the surveyed channel geometry, the current UDS was modeled with a 2 -ft bottom width and 2:1
side slopes in the WinTR -55 model run JD6 CC_CP- 03.w55. The planned UDS was modeled with a 2 -ft
bottom width and 3:1 side slopes in the WinTR -55 model run JD6_PC_CP- 0Lw55. Model results are
presented in Section 5.2 (channel capacity) and 5.3 (channel stability).
The UDS will be reconstructed with a 2 -ft bottom width and 3:1 side slopes (Plate 3). The location and
disturbed area for the planned UDS is identical to the current UDS. The reconstruction will include
regrading the side slopes, regrading portions of the bed slope, and installing drop /check structures at six
locations, as shown in Plate 3.
4148A.131028 Whetstone Associates
