SCHULTZ My commission Expires IIMIQ015 NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety proposes to Approve with conditions Permit Renewal Application No. 6 (RN -6), submitted by MINREC, Inc. for a coal mining permit at the North Thompson Creek Mine (Permit No. C- 1981 -025). The proposed renewal will allow for continued mining and/or reclamation operations at the site. The North Thompson Creek Mine is a/an Under- ground operation located in Garfield County /Coun- ties, approximately 10 miles southwest of Carbon- dale, Colorado. Coal interest is Federal and private, and the surface to be affected is Federal and private land. The permit area encompasses approximately 1,086.00 acres. This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all re- quirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34 33 101 at seq., C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereun- der. A copy of the 'Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance', including any stipulations, is on file for public inspection at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215 Cen- tennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the Garfield County Clerk's Office, 109 8th Street, Suite 200, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 -3355. Persons with an inter- est that may be adversely affected by the pro- posed decision may request a formal hearing be- fore the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such request must be made within thirty (30) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and must state with rea- sonable specificity the reasons for the request and the objections to the proposed decision.
