Forrest Luke, TMI
C- 1981 -010; SL14
Adequacy Review No. 2
A -10, K -A -11 and K -A -13 are currently under consideration for Phase I bond release. Parcel K -A -10 and K -A -11
are included in the SL14 bond release area and Parcel K -A -13 is included in the SL 15 bond release application.
These parcels encompass a portion of the Horse Gulch Fill. If spoil material currently stored in these parcels
would be necessary to backfill the open pit area of K -Pit or other pit areas, the Division would be unable to
approve these parcels for Phase 1 bond release.
In conclusion, Trapper must demonstrate that spoil material stored in parcels K -A -10, K -A -11 and K -A -13 are not
necessary to backfill the current open pits within the site to the approximate original contour.
This concludes the Division's second adequacy review for the SL14 bond release application. The decision date
for this bond release application was Monday October 14, 2013. Please request an extension of the decision date.
Sincerely,
Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist, DRMS
CC: Sandy Brown, DBMS
