Pineda <br />Director <br />New Elk Coal Company (NECC) submitted an application to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety (the Division) for Permit Renewal on August 26, 2013. The application was found complete on <br />August 30, 2013. <br />This letter is the Division's formal initial review of that application for adequacy. <br />1. Technical Revision 68 (TR68) is the response to the Mid -Term Permit Review (MT6), dated <br />October 29, 2012. Unless and until TR68 is approved, completing the Mid -Term Review <br />process, the Renewal application cannot be approved, or even properly reviewed. <br />The proposed decision due date for RN6 is December 28, 2013.
