The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division), has completed a review of the permit application,
and has the following comments. Responses are fully adequate for the following comments: 1 through 14.
The Division provided new comments which are 15 and 16.
6.4.3 Exhibit C- Pre - mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands
15) Item 6 in the preliminary adequacy review recommended that the Operator mine at a slope of 3H:1V.
In the Operator's response to the preliminary adequacy review the Operator stated they would
incorporate the Division's recommendation to mine at 3H:1V. Please update the cross section on the
Mining Plan Map to reflect these changes (the current cross section depicts mining at 0.5H:1V).
6.4.6 EXHIBIT F - Reclamation Plan Map
16) Item 6 in the preliminary adequacy review recommended that the Operator mine at a slope of 3HAV.
In the Operator's response to the preliminary adequacy review the Operator stated they would
incorporate the Division's recommendation to mine at 3HAV. Please update the cross section on the
Reclamation Plan Map to reflect these changes (the current cross section depicts mining at 0.5H:1V
and backfilling the slope to 3HAV).
The current decision deadline for this application is November 19, 2013. Please provide responses to the
above comments soon enough for the Division to review the responses and complete a follow -up exchange of
comments and responses prior to the decision deadline. If you are unable to provide satisfactory responses to
any inadequacies prior to the decision deadline, it will be your responsibility to request an extension of time
to allow for continued review of this application. If there are still unresolved issues when the decision date
arrives and no extension has been requested, the application will be denied.
