Appendix 12 has the revised designs of the Mine Water <br />Pond and the Leach Field. Appendix 13 has the changes to the mine facilities and the waste <br />rock pile east of the portal buildings. Appendix 14 has all the material specifications and the <br />installation procedures for liners, seals, etc. Exhibit L has the revised list of buildings and worst <br />case bond costs. <br />Several changes have been made to the layout and configuration of the leach field and mine <br />water pond. After consultation with Colorado Lining International, modifications were made to <br />the proposed synthetic liners to ensure durability and longevity. It should be kept in mind that <br />the water emanating from the portal meets drinking water. This water has met CDPHE permit <br />wet tests in the past and has been coming out of the mine for approximately 130 years. <br />Responses to the adequacy questions are enclosed below. <br />The plan includes onsite facilities and structures that, if approved, will become <br />Environmental Protection Facilities (EPFs), per Rule 6.4.21(10). The submitted plan <br />includes drawings and maps that you have signed and stamped, as required by the <br />Rules. Please provide acknowledgement from you or the operator that the facilities <br />(EPFs) will be constructed according to the final specifications that are approved by this <br />office; and that if changes must be made during construction which vary from the <br />approved plan, construction will cease while the changes are reviewed by this office. <br />
