EXHIBIT M - Other Permits and Licenses
A Kit Carson County zoning permit was obtained when the pit was originally opened.
The Air Pollution Control Division has been contacted. They have approved grouped
APENs by district. All gravel pits in the county will be included in one of three APENs
specifically for gravel pits.
This is an open pit operation and ground water will not be exposed, so a well permit and
temporary supply pan is unnecessary.
The Sand Creek flow area remains open for excessive flow. A storm water management
plan will not be required.
A dredge fill permit (404) is not required because waters of the United States will not be
impacted.
Notification of the proposed mining was sent to the State Historic Preservation Officer.
Their search showed no significant historic artifacts at the site.
No permits are required from the Bureau of Land Management or US Forest Service.
No additional permits or licenses are required.
