Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
The Division has reviewed the submittal for MR -127, including Exhibit 23, South Taylor In -pit
Exploration Drill Program, and we have the following adequacy comments.
On page Exh. 23 -1, under the heading Sealing of Drilled Holes, the text " ... following mining these holes
will be reclaimed ..." is misleading. In the case of "rat holes" below the lowest seam to be mined, the
reclamation (seeling) will be performed prior to mining. Please update the text and re- submit this portion
of the exhibit to clarify this practice.
We have sent our Reclamation Cost Estimate for MR -127 to your staff under separate cover. The total
increase in liability, as calculated by the Division, is $36,222.00. To avoid confusion, please remove
Colowyo's cost estimate from Exhibit 23.
Please contact me (extension 8113) if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Robert Zuber, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
