The existing
berm utilized to redirect offsite flows around the east side of the site had washed out (see Pic.
2). The offsite flows then ran through the site and were collected into the existing water quality
features (see Pic. 3). The berming should be replaced to minimize the runoff routed through
the water quality ponds. This will reduce the overall ongoing maintenance costs for these
features as well as to prevent the ponds from being inundated with runoff that was not
intended to be captured which could result in overtopping of the structures.
The north runoff /drain filter located along the main drive experienced some bypass flows
during the latest storm events. The flows eroded the north side of the structure and resulted in
some limited erosion (see Pic. 4). The embankment material around the structure needs to be
replaced and any soil washed from the existing roadway embankment should be collected and
replaced. The collected sediment in both the north and south structures should be removed.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns in regards to the issues
that are discussed above or if the actual conditions differ from what I have stated above.
Sincerely,
` /ONAA
P.O.
