Pineda <br />Carbondale, CO 81623 <br />Director <br /> <br />Re: Proposed Decision <br /> Permit Renewal Application No. 6 (RN-6) <br /> <br /> North Thompson Creek Mine (Permit No. C-1981-025) <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Nieslanik: <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for <br />coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by MINREC, Inc. on December 19, <br />2012 for the North Thompson Creek Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and <br />Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of <br />this proposed decision. <br /> <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public <br />notice by the Division in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent. <br /> <br />The Underground mine is located approximately 10 miles Southwest of Carbondale, Colorado. The permit <br />area is further described as follows: <br /> <br />T8S, R89W; Portions of Sections 21, 22, 27, 28, 33, 34 and 35 <br /> T9S, R89W; Portions of Sections 2, 3 and 4 <br /> T7S, R88W; Portions of Sections 20, 29, 30 and 32 <br /> <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address <br />and at the Garfield County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.
