The Division sent
Colowyo an adequacy letter on September 13th asking for additional discussion of the mining plan. We received
your responses to this adequacy letter on September 20, 2013. In addition, we received an e -mail from Juan Garcia
on September 30, 2013, which contained relevant information on analysis of highwall mining, interburden thickness,
and pillar alignment (letter to Colowyo from Mine Safety and Health Administration, 2006).
The Division finds that our adequacy issues have been addressed.
Please contact me (extension 8113, rob_zuber @state.co.us) if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
a-, , "7 7" '
Robert Zuber, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
