EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN AND TIMETABLE
RECLAMA TION PLAN
The proposed future use of this site is to return it to it's
existing use of rangeland. Mining will create a depression in
the terrace deposit that depending on what Options is used will
create an amphitheater in the Terrace deposit or daylight out the
east and west sides creating a continuous bench running east -west
parallel to County Road 613. The possibly of removing the side
slopes between the adjoining mines is very probable. This makes
the reclamation plan very simple in that the mined area will have
to shaped, resoiled and revegetate the area with grass seed once
mining is complete. Review of various options shown on the
RECLAMATION PLAN maps in this application depict how we believe
the site will look once mining is complete.
As noted in the Mining Plan we are proposing three options
for reclaiming the site. The method used to reclaim each option
are the same, the difference in being the amount of sloping
needed. In Option 1, the east and west sides will be developed
leaving 3:1 slopes along the property line as shown on the maps.
In Option 2, the eastern slope will be removed so the floor of
the adjoining mine will match the floor of this mine. The same
applies for Option 3 except the three mines will have a common
floor elevation. The amount of resoiling and revegetation will
remain the same as in Option 1 but the floor area will increase
by approximately 2.17 acres ± if Option 3 is used.
As mining progresses the slopes along the outside perimeter
of the mining area will be graded 2:1 to stabilize them until it
is time for their removal. By creating the temporary slopes as
mining progresses, we are reducing the amount of work necessary
to reclaim the site if only Option 1 is used. This will not be
done on the west side if Option 2 is used.
Since the slopes around the perimeter of the mined area will
steeper then their final slopes under Options 1, only minor
amounts of backfill slope work will be necessary as mining ends.
The working face will be left nearly vertical and will need to be
cut /fill sloped or backfilled. The excess overburden being
stockpiled will insure that adequate material is on site to
complete the sloping plan. This will also insure, that if mining
ceases before the resource is exhausted, only a minor amount of
work would have to be done to finish reclamation on the disturbed
12
