Dumb & Dumber Trucking, LLC b/
Contact. Brian Barton, k9 10) 520 -3392
SE' /4 Section 8, Twp 6 North, Rng 51 West, 6th P.M., Logan County
CONDITIONS FOR APPROVAL
® The proposed operation does not anticipate exposing groundwater. Therefore, exposure of ground water
must not occur during or after mining operations.
® The applicant does not propose to use any water at the permit site. If water will be used for any purpose at
this site, the applicant will need to document that the water was obtained from a legal source, or the water
was diverted in priority under a water right decreed for such industrial use.
® If stormwater runoff is intercepted by this operation and is not diverted or captured in priority, it must infiltrate
into the ground or be released to the stream system within 72 hours. This may require a discharge permit
from CDPHE -WQCD. Otherwise, the operator will be required to make replacements for evaporation.
COMMENTS: The subject application seeks to convert permit no. M- 2000 -149 for the Barton Pit from a 110(c)
Limited Impact Construction Materials Permit to a 112(c) Regular Construction Materials Permit. The application will
increase the number of permitted acres from 9.183 to 65.29 acres, an increase of 56.107 acres. The primary
commodity to be mined at the site is gravel, which will be used primarily for road base and landscaping purposes.
This will be a surface mining operation.
The mining plan proposes to mine the site to a depth of approximately 60 feet. According to the submittal, adjacent
well logs indicate that the static water level is at a depth of 180 feet; therefore, the floor of the excavation is
anticipated to be at least 120 feet above the ground water table. There are no water structures on or adjacent to the
site.
No water is proposed to be used in conjunction with the mining operation. Dust control measures have not been
necessary in the past and are not anticipated by the operator to be necessary at this site in the future.
The site is proposed to be reclaimed to its current use of pastureland upon completion of mining activities.
The applicant may contact the State Engineer's Office with any questions.
Office of the State Engineer
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 818 • Denver, CO 80203 • Phone: 303 - 866 -3581 • Fax: 303 - 866 -3589
www wifor atatp m nc
