PERMIT #: M- 2012 -036 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: TOD <br />INSPECTION DATE: September 4, 2013 <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This inspection was conducted in response to a request for a surety reduction (SR -01) that the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received on July 29, 2013 and called complete on August 28, 2013. <br />The inspection was conducted by Tyler O'Donnell of the Division. Angela Bellantoni, the consultant for All Rite <br />Paving & Redi -Mix, Inc., was present during the inspection. No representative from All Rite Paving & Redi -Mix, <br />Inc., was present during the inspection. The Sharp Gravel Pit is located approximately 2 miles southwest of <br />Hasty Colorado. The Sharp Gravel Pit is permitted as a pit for the removal of aggregate. The current permit <br />area is 320 acres. The approved maximum allowed disturbance is 27 acres. The approved post- mining land <br />use is rangeland. <br />The Division sent out notices regarding the release request to the owners of record of the affected land, the <br />Bent County Commissioners and to the Bent County Conservation District on August 28, 2013 as required by <br />Construction Materials rule 4.17.2. The Division did not receive any written comments or objections to the <br />surety reduction. The request for a surety reduction will be approved, notice of the Division's decision <br />regarding the reduction will be sent under separate cover. <br />No mining or mining related disturbance was observed during the inspection. <br />Signs and Markers: <br />The mine identification sign was not posted at the entrance of the mine site. This will be cited as a problem in <br />this inspection report and will require corrective action. <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
