COMMENTS - C OMPL ANNE <br />Williams Fork Mines C -1 i -044 <br />20 Ma;�,- 2010 <br />Pg2i 2 <br />Hydrologic Balance (cant.): - Sediment Ponds SH -P1 and SH -P2, by the old farm shop <br />(just above the 5A portals), were both dry at the time of the inspection, Both <br />embankments were well vegetated and stable, No erosional problems were noted <br />on either pond embankment, <br />- Sediment Pond 5A -P1, just below the 5A portals, was dry at the time of the <br />inspection. The pond embankment was well vegetated and stable. No erosional <br />problems were noted on the pond embankment at the time of the inspection, <br />- Sediment Ponds 9 -P1 and 9 -P6, by the solid waste disposal area, were both dry at <br />the time of the inspection. These ponds collect the runoff from the solid waste <br />disposal area and the adjacent reclaimed refuse pile, Both pond embankments <br />were well vegetated and stable and no erosional problems were noted on either of <br />the pond embankments. <br />Backfilling and Grading: - The backfilled #'4 Mine 6 r-qt ;l rernai sc cttA -An <br />vegetative cover on the backfill and the grasses were beginning to grow again this <br />spring. There is no noticeable settling or cracking of the backfill. There were u <br />erosional problems noted on the backfilled slope. <br />- The solid waste disposal area remains stable, There was no settling noticed in the fill <br />material (which is covering demolition debris) and no erosional problems were noted. <br />There was a small dozer slot cut in the area for the disposal of a small amount of <br />additional debris. It is assumed that this will be backfilled immediately upon filling the <br />slot with the debris, <br />Processing Waste: - The refuse pile by the solid Waste disposal crew. li a—i ;�rc� <br />topsoiled and reseeded last summer was stable. The vegetation was beginning to <br />germinate, The area is well graded and drains to the adjacent sedimenl por! 's <br />and 9 -P6). There was no standing water on the pile and no erosio cil roble,� c.r <br />noted. <br />Over all the Williams Fork Mines are in good condition. This concludes the 20 May <br />2010 Inspection report for the Williams Fork Mines. <br />
