Your
concerns regarding the change in destination of the ore route are outside of the regulatory
jurisdiction of the Division. Section 34- 32- 110(2)(V) only requires the operator to submit a map
that shows information that determines the location of the affected land and existing and
proposed roads or access routes to be used in connection with the mining operation. The act is
not intended to regulate every route traveled to deliver mined or extracted products but rather the
area and access of the mine itself (affected acreage). Therefore, no change in the mining or
reclamation plan is required at this time
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining
and Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado
81501, telephone no.
